The bathroom at Downs Gate Cottage was amazing! It had both a shower and a bath, so we had options depending on our mood. It was so nice to unwind in the tub after a long day of exploring. We really loved the luxurious feel of the bathroom.
Personally, we found the shower pressure a bit weak. But hey, everyone's different, right?

We had a wonderful stay at Downs Gate Cottage, a clean and tidy property with a small courtyard garden perfect for our dog. The garden chairs were incredibly comfortable, so much so that we ordered some for our own home! The double thickness blinds in the bedroom kept the sun out, something often overlooked in rentals. We loved the great coffee machine and easily found Nespresso pods at Tesco. The beach was just across the road and there was a fantastic park for our 5-year-old nearby as well. The Pilot Inn in front of the house was a nice spot for drinks, with no noise in the evening. Highly recommended for families and friends!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The decoration at Downs Gate Cottage was lovely, with a cozy and homely feel. The general areas were clean and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like myself to navigate around. The hotel also had good accessibility features, such as handrails on the stairs and a comfortable seating area in the garden, which made it a safe and enjoyable stay for older guests.
I would have liked better signage or information regarding activities and attractions nearby that are suitable for senior people.

Pros of our stay at this amazing cottage were the immaculate cleanliness and tidy appearance of the entire property upon arrival. The secure, small courtyard garden was perfect for our dog and the garden chairs were incredibly comfortable, so much so that we ordered some for our own home. The double thickness blinds in the bedroom were a pleasant surprise, as they effectively kept the sun out. The great coffee machine was an added bonus and we easily found Nespresso pods at a nearby store. The beach was just across the road and there was a wonderful park for our 5-year-old right across the main road. The nearby pub, although fully booked, was still enjoyable for drinks with no noise in the evening. This place is definitely recommended for both families and friends. The location of the property was ideal, with no noise problems from neighbors and easy parking outside with permits required. The property itself was well-maintained and clean throughout, with excellent Wi-Fi and TV reception. The facilities all worked perfectly, and we found the furnishings, including the comfortable double bed and cozy lounge, to be very satisfactory. The bonus of having toilets on both levels and efficient gas central heating with almost instant hot water made our stay even more enjoyable. it was a pleasant break in a conveniently located property that we would gladly use again as it is close to all amenities, shops, the beach, and the downs.

I had a wonderful stay at Downs Gate Cottage in Eastbourne. The location was superb, with easy access to hiking trails and the beautiful beach. The property itself was spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I especially appreciated the fully secure courtyard garden, perfect for my dogs. The double thickness blinds in the bedroom were a great touch, keeping the sun out for a peaceful night's sleep. The coffee machine was a pleasant surprise, and the nearby park and pub added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of my stay.
While my stay was mostly pleasant, I did encounter a few minor inconveniences. The bedding could use some updating, as it was a bit uncomfortable and the pillows were thin.

The bathroom in Downs Gate Cottage was amazing! It had both a shower and a bath, which means I had options when it came to relaxing and getting clean. It really made me feel at home during my stay.
Honestly, the only thing I didn't love was the shower pressure. It was a bit weak for my liking, but I know some people prefer a gentler flow.

The bathroom was like a dream! I couldn't decide if I wanted to take a relaxing bath or a quick shower. Such a tough choice! As a backpacker, this was pure luxury for me.
Personally, I found it a bit challenging to decide between a bath and a shower. But hey, others might enjoy having options!
